Kicking off at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2016, Intel has announced that they will be hosting an all-female CS:GO tournament.

Five invited teams, and three qualified teams will be going face to face at the event. Teams that wish to be apart of the competition must fill out an application on ESL’s website requesting an invite.

Intel has also announced that they will be putting up $30k in prize money for the tournament!

As eSports continue to grow, we begin to see more and more prominent female players entering the scene. This is a great move by Intel to help showcase some of that new and up and coming talent.

Intel Extreme Masters Katowice will run from March 4th-6th in Katowice, Poland. The open qualifiers for the event will begin on January 24th.
