Gfinity has recently announced their Elite Series tournament series, which is already set to feature Counter Strike: Global Offensive, an extremely popular eSport title, especially over in the European region, where competitive Counter Strike is most prominent.

In addition to CS:GO however, Gfinity has announced that for the first time ever, the company will welcome the FGC to their platform with Street Fighter V joining the Gfinity Elite Series, with it’s own “Challenger Series”.

Players will take to the streets of Metro City to trade Lightning Kicks and Double Lariats for the opportunity to build their profile, climb the rankings and, if they’ve got the skills, have the chance to be drafted by a Pro team.

The way the tournament series works is quite simple. You earn points by winning matches online which are played out within the Gfinity Elite Series ladder; players who are able to rack up enough points and rank up will have a higher shot to be noticed and or even drafted by professional teams. Matt Edwards, Community and eSports Manager at Capcom had the following to say regarding the announcement;

The UK is home to a very strong and expanding Street Fighter V competitive scene with vibrant communities in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds and Leicester to name a few. This makes our new partnership with Gfinity even more exciting. It gives aspiring Street Fighter V players an all new league to rise up and compete with the best.

Sign ups are currently open now for the Street Fighter V Challenger Series, and it’s completely free; so definitely do not hesitate if you are interested in getting your name out there.
