Competitive Halo players..start your engines! Er..more like your BR’s! As competitive Halo is making a return in full force! 343 Industries has announced the “Halo Championship Series”, which will be the official eSports league that will be the all-new platform for Halo eSports.
Teaming up with both Twitch, ESL, and several TO’s of the community, 343 is eager to prove it’s competitive Halo fans with a new rich, quality Halo eSports experience for all players, fans, and spectators to enjoy!
The first official Season will feature Halo 2: Anniversary within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and bringing the re-imagined multiplayer to the eSports spotlight!
The first season of the HCS will kick off after the launch of Halo: The Master Cheif Collection, and will run from November through March of 2015.
The tournament will be played in a 4v4 team format, and will consist of several online, and LAN tournament events. Teams will receive HCS points based on their performance. Teams with the highest HCS points at the end of the season will then be invited to compete at the Season finals taking place in March of 2015.
