Competitive Pokemon fans, good news! Looks like Nintendo is doing more innovate stuff this year and the VGC Nationals, as they have just recently announced that they will be holding a 3v3 Singles Masters Cup tournament, as a side event. The event will be taking place on Saturday July 6th, with Registration at 2pm, and the tournament beginning at 4pm. Rules can be found in the image below.
Players that place top 32 are also awarded some pretty sweet prizes.
- 1st place: Nintendo 3DS and 72 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 2nd place: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon—Gates to Infinity and 36 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 3rd–4th place: Nintendo 3DS Carrying Case and 18 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 5th–8th place: Nintendo 3DS Stylus Pack and 9 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 9th–16th place: 9 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 17th–32nd place: 6 Pokémon TCG booster packs
