Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the next entry to the Call of Duty franchise, and the next adventure the competitive CoD scene is ready to face. Despite the title having it’s mixed reactions since it’s reveal; players are now ready to take the plunge and experience what Infinite Warfare has to offer. That plunge is coming right up, as the Infinite Warfare beta is just around the corner, with the multiplayer betas kick off date being October 14th, for PlayStation 4 players.
Many fans have been wondering exactly what maps and game modes would be featured in the beta; and while we’ve waited quite some time to hear any details,a new organization by the name of CharlieINTEL have come out and leaked details regarding exactly what participants will be getting their hands on, once the beta goes live.
- FRONTIER: Circular, two-lane, fast-paced. Frontier is a small section of a giant space station that is in orbit around the planet Neptune. The action is funneled down a long, central corridor with side paths offering an element of strategy and a constricted lower lane for players craving chaos.
- FROST: Linear, three-lane, medium-paced. A research facility set atop the icy surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa. Ample opportunities for vertical combat and rapid encounters around sleek modular elements highlight this frozen battleground.
- THROWBACK: Bent, three-lane, medium-paced. This throwback 1950’s ‘Main Street USA’ locale sits on a giant, rotating, torus-shaped space station. A large circular lane rings the perimeter, while a large center square with multiple avenues of approach and two opposing windows offers a wide range of engagement opportunities.
- Team Deathmatch
- Kill Confirmed
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare features distinct player classes that grant unique abilities and traits, similar to Black Ops 3’s Specialist functionality. Here are the three Combat Rigs available in Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer beta.
WARFIGHTER: Designed for a mid-range assault-style player, equip the Warfighter rig to support the team by getting fast kills, quickly getting to an objective, and always being on the offensive.
MERC: This imposing suit is equipped with payload options designed to clear enemy threats quickly and with authority. Its focus is heavy defense and suppressive fire.
SYNAPTIC: A C6 Class remote-operated droid optimized for speed and close quarters combat.]
Along with these details also came the discovery of how much storage space, total, would be taken up upon the installation of the Deluxe Edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Now don’t freak out, but as of now, the Deluxe Edition is set to take up to about 130GB on consoles. Better get your external HDD’s ready. It’s quite likely many fans will have to endure this massive install, as the Deluxe Edition is currently the only way to get your hands on the Modern Warfare 4 Remastered Edition.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare officially arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4th, 2016.
