Street Fighter V is almost here! With it’s official launch taking place next week on February 16th, players are gearing up for heated competition as the tournament season is now making it’s way into full effect!
With that said, tonight Capcom’s Perter “Combofiend” Rosas and Twitch’s Mike Ross, went live from The Foundry to discuss this years plans regarding the upcoming Capcom Pro Tour Season.
The competition begins in France, much like last year, at Cannes Winter Clash, and then making it’s way to Final Round 19, which is set to be the first premier event.
Players from all regions will be going head to head to earn their spot at the Capcom Cup finals. The finals will contain a 32 player spot, eleven will be chosen from Premier Events such as Norcal Regionals, Dream Hack Summer, Canada Cup, and several more.
For those concerned about a player who has already earned a spot, taking another Capcom Cup Premier tournament, do not fear, that spot will instead become a global ranking qualifier.
Every region is set to have twelve ranking events, and two online events. Taking one of the rankings event earns you a ticket to that region’s main event.
