During the beginning of 2016, many feared with the recent buyout of MLG would result in a decline in hosted events during 2016; however, throughout the duration of the year thus far, we’ve been proven over and over again that isn’t the case.

With that said, Major League Gaming has recently announced what is likely to be their final offline event of 2016, MLG Vegas 2016. From December 16th-18th MLG will be bringing the finest eSports action to Sin City at Mandalay Bay; ultimately closing out the year with another event you definitely will not want to miss out on!

Tournaments

The Call of Duty World League will see a Regional Open competition at MLG Vegas, which will feature well-over 160 teams all battling it out for their share of a $100,000 prize pool. While the official Call of Duty title which will be present at the event, has not been announced as of yet; it’s quite likely that we will perhaps see the first ever Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare MLG tournament take place as the Regional Opens main game, if not Black Ops 3.

Blizzard Entertainments Overwatch, will also be present at the invite as an invitation will take place featuring 16 teams all battling it out for their share of $100,000. Overwatch has been making waves within the eSports community as of recent; and while the title still has much more development to go in terms of the competitive side, it’s not doubt that we will start to see many more large-scale Overwatch invitationals take place moving forward.
