If you enjoyed the quality competitive CS:GO action which surprisingly took place on American soil this Fall, you’ll be happy to know that we’ll be getting even more of it in 2017, as well as years to follow!
The ESL New York Event was one of the largest and most successful CS:GO events to ever take place in North America. The tournament was held this past October from the 1st-2nd and was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York. The event also saw the birth of ESL’s first offline North America Street Fighter V event, the “Brooklyn Beatdown.”
Now, ESL has recently revealed that they will be bringing CS:GO action back in New York next year as well from September 16th-17th, 2017 at the Barclays Center – as part of their 2017 ESL One NYC Event! In addition to this, the organization has also claimed the Barclays Center as their home for the ESL One NYC events for the next four years!
“We are thrilled to make Barclays Center the home of ESL One for the next four years,” said Steven Roberts, Executive Chairman, ESL North America. “This partnership will allow fans to experience the thrill of a professional eSports competition in a first class venue and extend our reach with online viewership.”
There is no doubt at all that ESL’s ever-growing presence within the North America competitive gaming scene during the recent years have definitely had a great impact on the growth of various eSports communities as well as a surge in tournaments hosted here in North America for titles that have been otherwise, more prominently supported with offline events in other regions.
For those interested in attending 2017’s ESL One New York event, tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster this Thursday, December 15th at 10am.
