DreamHack is pushing it hard this year, hosting more events around the globe than they have ever hosted before! With their first North American event taking place in Austin, Texas in early May; the company seems to be striving to launch events in locations they have not yet held events before.
Their latest announcement however, is the reveal of their first ever LAN event taking place in Canada! DreamHack will officially be making their first stop in the country from August 12th-14th in Montreal, Quebec at Place Bonaventure.

The CEO had the following to say, about the announcement.
“DreamHack Montreal represents our commitment and dedication to continue to grow the DreamHack phenomenon and reach even more visitors at live events.”
“We are tremendously excited to launch this event in the Summer, working together with many of the experienced crew from Lan ETS, and bring the DreamHack experience to some of the most passionate esports & gaming fans in the World in Canada.”
The featured games that will be played at DreamHack Montreal have yet to be announced however, the have stated that “at least two major international eSports tournaments” would be featured at the event. Details regarding formats, prize pools, and competitions are set to be announced as the event draws nearer.
