If you’re a follower of the Competitive Super Smash Bros scene, regardless of the title, odds are you are very familiar with the Big House tournament series.
Without a doubt, The Big House is one of the most prominent and well known major tournaments within the competitive Super Smash Bros community, and the organizers have just announced that the tournament will be making it’s return for Part 6, later this year from October 7th-9th in Dearborn, Michigan! Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Wii U are set to be the main games at the event, however, I’d expect to see Smash 64, Brawl, and maybe even Project M as side events.
Along with this announcement, also comes the announcement of The Big House 5 documentary series that has just premiered over on the meleeitonme Twitch.TV stream. The episode first episode is now on YouTube.
The Big House 5 Documentary follows Lucky and Hungrybox through the weekend, and allows you to experience the tournament through their eyes. Hear what’s at stake for them, and how they cope with the pressure of being top players.
I know I’ll be watching this series as it’s surely going to get me stoked for The Big House 6 later this year.
